I was first introduced to mindfulness in 1989 as part of a weekend retreat. Like many people when first introduced to meditation I immediately felt this was not for me! However, after a weekend of several meditations and mindful reflection I had a new respect for mindfulness and came away wanting to know more.
After that weekend I embarked on a mindful journey and now have a 30+ years' daily mindful practice. My adventure led me to achieve my certification with University of Toronto in Foundations of Applied Mindfulness Meditation and Applied Specialization in Mindfulness Meditation, and teach mindfulness and meditation practices with individuals and teams in personal and corporation settings.
For me the beauty of mindfulness is that it aligns with every aspect of our lives. I continue to find new ways to bring the joy, calm and peacefulness of mindfulness to my life through several creative practices including photography, and many forms of artwork.

Sue is a quiet, thoughtful leader that seeks to make things better for anyone she connects with. Her mindful sessions are always well received as Sue introduces the concepts and practices of mindfulness in a non-intimidating and easy to comprehend manner. Sue selflessly gives of her time and energy to enable others to learn and practice a skill that so many have found beneficial to their mental health, focus, and resiliency.
Juliana S. Ryerson Catalyst, Accelerated Cybersecurity Training Program
Sue led two mindfulness sessions for the students of the Accelerated Cybersecurity Training Program (ACTP). Students in this program are completing a rigorous and intensive retraining program, and Sue's session helped them to pause, step back and focus on their mental wellbeing during a stressful exam period. The feedback on Sue's first session was so strong that we asked her to return and record the 2nd session for students to reflect back on when they needed it. We truly appreciate Sue's contribution to our student's mental health and wellbeing.
